The Fosstodon Hub has been created to provide a place for the Fosstodon team to share important notifications and information to the community, but to also allow our amazing community members to contribute with blog posts about things that interests them.
We have so many fantastic people within our community, who regularly talk about projects, tools and applications that they’re using or are involved in. So we decided to open up the Fosstodon Hub to our members and allow you guys to contribute articles.
Mastodon is great, but sometimes 500 characters simply isn’t enough; you may feel like you want to say more, but don’t want the hassle of having to create and host a blog yourself. Why not sign up for the Fosstodon Hub and start submitting your content?
If you want to request access to the Fosstodon Hub so you can start contributing, you can do so here.
1. Request access
Once you have requested access to the Fosstodon Hub, one of the team will review your request to make sure you’re a member. If you are, your request will be accepted and we will email you your login credentials.
2. Read our author guidelines
Before you start submitting your content to the Fosstodon Hub, we suggest you read through our Author Guidelines so you can familiarise yourself with how we would like you to create your posts on the Fosstodon Hub.
Don’t worry, the guidelines are very short!
3. Submit your content!
Now you have your credentials for the Fosstodon Hub, and you have had a quick read through the Author Guidelines, you’re ready to start submitting your content.
Once you have written a post and submitted it for review, one of the team will review your submission. Once we’ve got rid of any spelling/grammar mistakes, and we’re happy that your post is suitable for publishing, we will make it live.
Once it’s live, you will get a notification and you can share your post with the world. We will also share your post on our Fosstodon account, which will be seen by most of the members on Fosstodon.
